Confirmation is the Sacrament of Initiation that completes the grace we receive in Baptism. It seals, or confirms, this grace through the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit that we receive as part of Confirmation, and is received only once in a person's life. Confirmation is the Sacrament that  deepens the grace of Baptism, uniting us more closely with  Jesus and the Church. Most Catholics are baptized as infants and receive their First Eucharist and First Reconciliation around the age of seven, then are confirmed by a bishop when they are in between eighth grade and high school.

To register for the Rite of Confirmation, the candidates need to have received both the Sacrament of Baptism and First Holy Communion, and be between the ages of 13-17 years old. For registration purposes, the dates and parishes where these Sacraments were received will be needed, and a baptismal certificate presented if the child was not baptized at St. Roch parish.
